Per person check average is $4-$10, serving beer and wine. Units seat about 70 and offer catering service. All locations are in TX Repeat Growers Concepts previously written about in the past 18 months. Orlando, FL-based FLIPPERS PIZZERIA (founded 1987) has increased by 1 unit, from 10 to 11 (10% growth). This is a family/casual concept, open for lunch and dinner, with a $6-$12 per person check average. Beer and wine are served and seating is for around 30. Catering, delivery, online ordering and private party services are available. All stores are in FL. We last featured this concept on 1/18/11 (25% growth). Salt Lake City, UT-based CAFE RIO (founded 1997) has increased by 5 units, from 41 to 46 (12% growth) and entered into MT, VA, and WY. These fast casual Mexican restaurants are open for lunch and dinner, with a $4-$10 per person price range. Units seat about 100 and offer catering and online ordering services. Trading areas are AZ, CA, CO, ID, MD, MT, NV, UT, VA, and WY. We featured this concept on 1/25/11 (12% growth) and on 6/28/11 (11% growth). Cheshire, CT-based JAKE'S WAYBACK BURGERS (founded 1991) has increased by 16 units, from 27 to 43 (59% growth) and entered into OH. The restaurants are open for lunch and dinner, with a $2-$6 per person price range. Units seat about 60 and offer catering, delivery, and online ordering. Locations are franchised and trade in CT, DE, FL, MA, MD, NC, NY, OH, and PA. We wrote about this concept on 8/31/10 (43% growth), 1/4/11 (15% growth) and 2/22/11 (22% growth). FREDDY'S FROZEN CUSTARD & STEAKBURGERS based in Wichita, KS has increased by 19 units, from 54 to 73 (35% growth) and expanded into UT and NV. These are quick serve burger restaurants with seating for around 60. Meal periods are lunch and dinner. Per person check average is around $3-$8. Drive thru and banquets are offered. There is a second concept called Timberline Steakhouse (1). Locations are in AZ, CA, CO, KS, MO, NE, NV, OK, TX and UT. We last reported on this concept on 6/1/11 (19% growth).
