Summary: John is a career hotelier and educator. He has been affiliated in management roles with Sheraton, Hilton, Dunfey (now Omni), Best Western, Park Suite (now Embassy Suites) and independent properties. He has taught as an adjunct professor for more than 20 years at three different colleges and has conducted an estimated 3,700 classes and workshops in his career.

He is the co-founder and CLO of HospitalityEducators.com and the principal of Hogan Hospitality, which provides litigation support, expert witness services and hotel consulting. He has written more than 400 articles and 200 blogs for industry publications and has been recognized with awards of excellence from the American Hotel & Lodging Association and international hotel brands.
